For years the fashion industry has bombarded us with the image of 'beauty' and what we need to do to achieve it. Whether it be a complete wardrobe overhaul, skin treatments, make-up ideas, gym memberships and ofc the ever faithful eternal diet.
It's very hard to be anything but sceptical of yourself when you look in the mirror. It's no wonder young girls and some boys are beginning to become victims to eating disorders and the like.
Anyway, back to the point! While flicking through a magazine I came across an article which was highlighting how trendsetters like Marc Jacobs at Louis Vuitton will be releasing classic pieces which will be for the "real" woman. The collection named "And God Created Woman" is based upon the fabulous Brigitte Bardot (from the same named film). The collection will be pieces of flattering skirts and clevage-enhavncing corsets (god, do I need that!)
For once they seem to be listening to the real world! Even the models are relatively 'normal'!
And finally they are bringing in clothes which can be seen to be flattering to all women not just the up and down types that strut their bones down the runway!
I approve.
Bravo.
