Life Through A Lens.

Heres another outfit from placement. Again, I'm going for smart casual but would say I'm bordering more on the smart. However, I find it easier to be this way...means I'm never under-dressed.
(outfit:Belt&black top, Matalan. Grey chiffon-esque shirt, Primark. Navy skirt, Zara kids. Crown ring, New Look)

It has to be said, I love this mobile blogging lark. Currently I am lounging watching Beerfest, worra' film!
This cute little cat is Molly and belongs to the boy's mum. She looks cute but us deadly, fact!
Well off shopping soon as I need yet more placement clothes! Hope everyone has a equally calm and happy Sunday! :) xx

Placement Professional.

Well semi-professional.
Today, I started placement and I loved it. Totally thrown into the deep end but none the less loveeeeddd it!
This is just a quick post as I have like a bajillion policies and procedures to read as well as the mountain of work I need to do. Oh the joys!

(Jumper, H&M. Skirt, Zara Kids. Black top, Matalan.)

I really like this skirt, however it is not a windy-day skirt!
As I found out in the worst way.....xx

Boxing Day!

Christmas has been nice, a little hectic but nice!
Now it's time to wallow in my presents and enjoy the company of family and friends!
Instead of explaining what I got up to, here are some photos!

My local area. Mum&I had a little walk through the snow on Christmas day with my little pooch.
I have recieved some gorgeous gifts, my favourite being this lovely Hummingbird brooch and this lovely little suitcases. I really need to sort out my room so these boxes could really help.

Organised Chaos.

(I am just looking through drafts and realising I have sooo many draft posts that it wouldn't take too much to update and post! Last one for tonight though!)

This is my life, permanently!
I tend to just pick up everything and throw it down! Ho Hum.
Anyone who sits next to me in the library always hate me, because I take up the whole desk!
This photo was taken about a week ago just before I went shopping and had the biggest nandos ever! Nom!
Another nom moment would be this pizza which was gorgeous! My god, I want to go back some time and get another!

(It looks so fatty now, ahahah, but it was amahzing!)

"The final time, I close my eyes. I will open them in paradise." - Ivoryline

I have been completely submerged with work recently and a bit lazy to be honest. I keep meaning to come on and write something but then I get in, or go out with friends, and I get completely distracted! So I'm sorry but I'm back :)

Ohhh I have to share this! I was walking behind this woman the other week in town and well I became that annoying person who walks too closesly! But, I really needed to take a photo of this! She actually walked into Northumbria Uni City library so if anyone knows who she is lemme know!

I keep saying I want to be more eco-friendly but I just don't get around to it...if thats possible! I do try and turn lights and plugs off and the like but other than that I drive my car ALOT and well I don't plan on changing it. When we cannot see because of the smog or we actually start drowning because of the melting icecaps I will probably stop...Is that bad? Probably but they keep changing their minds so I will continue!

I have some photos that I need to upload so I will get on that now. (I have some on my camera and phone and some which I am waiting to be sent to me!) I will upload some maybe :).

Ohhhhh, Kate&I went looking for some peppermint syrup for coffee in Newcastle yesterday but couldn't find any, does anyone know we can get some?! xx

Quick outfit post!
(Coat, Belt&Socks-Primark.
Top-Dorothy Perkins.
Herringbone Shorts-River Island.
Scarf-M&S. Bag-Clarks.
Boots-Bearpaw.
Cloch hat-I cannot remember!)
I nearly always wear hats in the rain as I HATE getting wet! And well umbrellas just never really do the job! xx

Hold your head high heavy heart. So take a chance and make it big, Cause it's the last you'll ever get. - The Academy Is...

Multi-coloured hat, Matalan. This hat brought me&another together so it holds memories!
Panda hat, River Island. I bought this before the masses and I haven't worn it much since, lol. Plus I don't suit being a Panda...just not me.

I've been up since 4!

And my god I know I will be feeling this around lunch time!
Anyway enjoy a hat photo. Last one, maybe. I haven't decided yet.
My Cooooooon Hat.

(I really wish I could use photoshop to add some colour to my face! And to get rid of my unplucked eyebrows ahaha, too classy)
This hat is from Brighton Gay Pride a few years ago, I'm sure. It was either there or a Carnival I went toooo, hmm. I will ask the Mother! :) xx

"I can't tell you what it really is, I can only tell you what it feels like"

-Eminem Feat. Rhianna

I love it when my Mum comes into my room bringing a box. That box is ALWAYS full of goodies and things I know I will like. Today was hats! I love wearing hats and have a bunch of different ones but the ones that were brought to me this morning were different, a bit special if you will. These hats were hats from many different times, for example one from Hastings when I was 16. Another from Brighton when I was 19 and I was there for Gay Pride and I bought it off this stall. These hats hold memories, whether it be small or huuuuge. Love boxes from my Mum.

This peaked hat came from a stall in London and it was the most amazing woman who sold it to me. She was only about 5foot tall and was wearing all of the colours under the sun in one outfit. She looked amazing.
Instead of adding too many photos to one post I will add one hat photo to the bottom of upcoming posts :) Hope you're all having a lovely weekend...even though its been raining here! xx

Flying the Nest 3.

" I no longer prepare food with more than one ingredient."
-Cyra Mcfadden

One of my biggest problems and one of the biggest problems I know of with people of my age group is that a lot of us either do not know how to cook or they just don't want to! I have to admit I am leaning more towards the 'I don't want to approach' as I feel I don't have the technical know how in preparing something, anything edible.
Like in a previous post I do generally live off toast! However, hold the phone, I've incorporated yoghurt! Oh yes, I've gone all out! Another problem with learning how to cook is the overwhelming amount of chefs that are actually out there now! The following are all chefs who are current (now of just have been) and have all released a cook book some time along the line.

This is just a small selection of the chefs that are currently out there! (A more in depth look can be found if you CLICK HERE!) It's unreal the amound there actually is! How am I meant to decide who to go for! Who has the best recipes?! Who can feed me the most? But with the lowest budget!
Well my friends this is my mission! I am on a cooking mission. I am going to learn how to cook! Even if its just something simple I will be utterly delighted.
I am not going to purchase a book by the millions of celeb chefs that seem to be creeping out, but looking at old chefs, simple cooking and of course ask my Mum and Kelly's Gran for tips.

Heres one more chef to add to the list.

Flying the Nest Part 2.

Junk Shop Chic.

So on to home furnishings. Obviously I am going to be a lowly student in which I rent a room in a house somewhere in which I don't have the permission, and maybe the inclination, to decorate. Bar little things like knick knacks.

I am, and have been told, that I am an old lady in a young persons body. I like old knick knacks and like to have all my memories and posessions out on show like little trophies. I can't be doing with this minimalist lark as I feel it to be rather emotionless and well just not fun. When I go places I like to be able to sit down and look around while soaking up all the emotions that are there.

So even though I am ever so slightly premature I have been looking around at little pieces which I can pair with my own and eventually take with me. I have found this beautiful site called Graham and Green and the items are beautiful. (Click Here for the site.) Here aresome of my favourite pieces.

As I was browing the net the other night I came across some new photos from the July Anthropologie catalogue. To be honest I'm not so bothered about the clothes but the sets are beautiful. Have a gander.(Click here for the link to anthropologie)

I'm finally blogged out. Well for now :). I'm sure there will be more Flying the Nest posts soon.

Too Tall?

I sometimes feel I am way tooooo tall for my own good.
I tower above the majority of my friends and complain about the many pairs of high heels that I own that I 'can't' wear.
When I was younger I would whinge to my Mother about the fact that I was too tall and every year when I blew out the candles on my birthday cake I would be wishing to stop growing, maybe shrink a little bit if possible.

I'm not saying I am the tallest out of the girls that I know, far from it.
But it does not help that I feel I NEED to wear flats 24/7

Sooooo today I am rebelling!

I am around 5'7/8 and from today (well tomorrow as I'm staying in tonight) I am going to start to wear even the tiniest of heels!
Oh yes, it has begun. I am going to enlist all the tall girls that I know and make sure that they know tall can be awesome as well as being classically 'small and petite'.
Because comeee onnn! All the models are tall.

[The photo of the shoes are from Office and I stopped myself from buying them because I was paranoid about height, welllllll they're in the sale now.....may get them!]

Fashion Police

Hellllllo
again.
Can you tell I am avoiding work more than anything, EVER?!
Last post though me thinks as it does need to be done. No more distractions
I just wanted to share the love of my new sunnies
After months of driving around with my glasses and a pair of sunglasses over the top I thought it may be safe and practical to finally buy a pair of prescription glasses.
So here are my new beautiful Police Sunglasses.
LOVE

Birfday Activities!

So as I've said before I have been to Glasgow to see AFI play, which was part of a birfday present to myself and then last night I had my delayed night out!
Which was AWESOMMMMEEEE!

Montage's say it best.

Failing to do any work.

retty much all my deadlines for nearly all my units are in for this week
yet I am completely unmotivated and have put them the back burner as to speak.
So instead of completing the massive work load I have acquired I decided to do my room out :)

In the long run, a pretty room will make me happier than knowing self-esteem does affect attraction as well as the distrubution of ASBOs throughout the country!

I've always loved decoupage and as ofc the Mother is the greatest hoarder known to man I knew she would be able to supply me with the love of the cut outs.
So look at my prettyness!

Clockwise from Top Left
Dressing Table, Dressing Table Drawers, Bedside Cabinet Front, Bedside Cabinet Top.

I suppose I better go finish the work now, humf.

Lusting Over...

These absolute beauts!

They are a mere £250......when I say mere, I lie.

Beautiful Carvela Ankle Boots
You will be mine.

UPDATE- I've just found out these boots went into a national sale and it appears they have all gone :( everyone owns a pair apart from me . Woe is me.

Glasgow...

...and AFI= 'OSSUM!

Me and my friend also went to see them play in Newcastle as well
because well, we're just that hardcore lulz.
Not as hardcore as some other people we know, but I'm gonna go all out and make this my claim to fame.
Sooooooo instead of me rambling on about how epic it was and how much fun I had, here are some photos. :D
I'm gonna go ahead and say I took farrrrr too many photos of Davey, lead, singer, I mean who can blame me right?!

PLUSSSSSSSSSSS,
generally my photography skills are about as good as a gorilla trying to fly but this time my skillz are flyyyyy.
 Oh yes, I went there.
Oh yes, even I am ashamed of myself right for saying that comment.

 Final Note...
It's my birthday innnnnnn 5 days oh what fun!
The big ol' 21
over the hill
better get the zimmaframe outttt.
But I've decided I'm gonna be over the hill and have fun!
